The UCSD Human Powered Submarine team is a student-run endeavor to design, manufacture and test a human powered submarine that is then raced in an international competition.
The team gives students the opportunity to apply the skills learned in classrooms in a real world environment. It provides valuable experience for students interested in careers in many different fields of interest. Students learn how to work in groups of peers as well as with the community.
Currently the team is taking on the great task of acquiring funds for the next cros-contenintal trip to Bethesda, MD in 2009. Also underway is the design process for the components of the new submarine, Oden's Rage.
